Update Bucktown – 1/06/2008

Bucktown condo prices held up surprisingly well while single family home prices fell off.  Prices for these single family homes had averaged well over $1,100,000 last year and are now trading well under $1,000,000.  Could this be a great time to buy?  2-4 units fell even farther with a drop of over 27%. 



Update Wicker Park – 1/05/2009

Wicker Park, home of the hipster, sits just south of Bucktown.  Condo prices fell slightly while 2-4 units took a large price plunge.  Single family home prices rose surprisingly. 



Update Printers Row – 12/18/2008

Printers Row, located just north of the South Loop, is a mix of early highrise construction and modern development.  This neighborhood consists exclusively of condos has seen prices hold up moderately well with only a 1% price drop.



Update West Loop – 12/16/2008

The West Loop still feels alive with new construction, albeit at a pace slower than in years past.  Prices maintained very well in the West Loop with condo prices falling only 1.6%.
